SF abrok compiles are now faster!?

Post by Jouni »

There was a change in profiling according to SF forum and now 27 June version is slightly but consistently faster than http://chess.ultimaiq.net/stockfish.html one! No need to alternative compiles any more? I tested BMI version.

Yes, with Ubuntu 18.04 doing a pgo build seems to work with mingw. With previous versions of Ubuntu this was not possible due to some strange bugs.

Presumably asmfish is still the fastest of them all, right?

Yes ASM is faster and stronger due to the much faster assembly language.
