ok thanks a lot Tirsa

Others have reported problems as well...
I'll try to get to the bottom of it in the coming days
When/if I do, I'll release version 7.1
I can confirm that Fire 7 runs ok and doesn't lose on time under Arena if used in tournament mode. It still gets unresponsive in "normal mode". I've been troubleshooting and investigating and found this thread with info on what happens (it's the same error message that Fire now produces in the Arena debug file): http://support.stockfishchess.org/discu ... -windows-7

It's working fine for what I need it, tournaments and analysis so no problem on my side :)

BTW Norman, Fire is playing the elite league right now, if you want to hang around and chat with people, you're welcome in the twitch channel :) Click my signature!

I have frequent crashes under Arena. Time control 300+2 seconds, Windows 10, Syzygy 6 men.

Excellent engine! Too bad that for the moment, it loses one game out of two at the time in a winning position.

Downloaded fine for me. Thanks for the new version.

A mini encapsulation of Contempt settings? I ask this because not all programs are universal.

For those having issues, please give this a try and let me know asap how it goes...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/52ydd4u6knmte ... nt.7z?dl=0
(I rolled back some SMP changes, reduced compile optimizations, and used migw64 instead of VS)
consequently it'll be a bit slower.

thanks

Hi Norman,

same problem here with loses on time.
Yesterday I try it for a Wasp test-run.
At the moment switched to 6.1.

Thanks for Fire v7.
Looking for your update.
