AlphaZer0 versus Grand-Father 1/2-1/2, April 10th 2018

Post by Father »

I dedicate this battle to the new generations that are about to arrive on planet earth.

Brainfish 010418 64 POPCNT (24 threads): 24.5 plies; 22.905kN/s Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @ 2.93GHz 2926MHz, (12 cores, 24 threads) Grand-father - AlphaZer0 ½-7½ New Elo: 2012 (+15), Classic. Brainfish 010418 64 POPCNT (24 threads): 23.9 plies; 22.882kN/s Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @ 2.93GHz 2926MHz, (12 cores, 24 threads) Applause has been sent (AlphaZer0)

April 10th 2018

Dear community of chess players of the world,

Finally, I managed to match the AlphaZero super computer in the playroom machines room.

This operator generously played many games against me today; several times I was close to catching the silicon monster, only finally I achieved it using a defensive system against e4.

I myself am surprised to have managed to neutralize a super computer and super chess program. It gives me an immense happiness to achieve this type of achievement, goals, objectives and ideals.

I would like to be invited by some supercomputer operator to play against one of the ten best chess programs in the world; I would like to play against a computer that calculates five hundred thousand positions every second. This kindness and generosity was received in 2003 by the majestic Hydra chess program. Even today, and forever. I want to tell you that from the depths of my soul and my spirit I am infinitely grateful.

Playing chess and facing computers has been, is and will be, a goal for me as long as I live, and while The God of Heaven, gives me the possibility to fight. The war of man against machine, sounds like music in my ears, feeds my soul, gives strength to my feet, and invites me to fly like a wounded bird, which spreads its wings, and goes to port hope.

I dedicate this battle to you with love

With best respect,

Pablo

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Alpha Zero

That was Brainfish you were playing there, my man.

I'd actually be interested to see how the real A0 would handle your fortress strategy.

For all fans of game science, the defense is called the defense of the crazy horse, a variation of the castling of the horse in love

Creating a new thread for every single personal game record seemed "spamming"

Mods should allow only one thread "My games vs computer "etc.

If everyone post 10 personal games, 10x100= 1000 threads, it would be a mess.

If everyone did it, I would agree. But I would rather moderation be hands-off until it is actually a problem.

On what basis?

He posts an actual game (in theory, at least). It's a game against a computer. There's no disrespectful or inflammatory commentary. Many other people post games. Just because what he writes doesn't interest you or me doesn't make his posts inappropriate or against the charter.
