This is from Sean Mintz's website where he , on his own, elected to archive the talk chess.com posts before the forum server software was updated.

Uri Blass, not surprisingly, as Uri is one the top chess analysts in the business, earning an ICCF GM title way before the high end computers and high end chess software were available. Uri was the first to call Rf6 a draw and was probably best move for white. And he also called out that hg5 was black's best response.

Today, SF-McBrain 9.1 ( not yet released) agrees with Uri.
( xboard shows the most recent pv on top, which is more natural to me, ymmv.)

Thanks for the position and for the heads up of upcoming McBrain v.9.1 release.

Regarding the position, it is quite unusual when white has already a slight edge at first glance (considering the well placed and active pieces, plus open file for Rf1 followed by Raf1), yet engines prefer to play the forced perpetual for white. I mean, there's no rush for this perpetual check line IMO.
If this is human vs. human game, then white has already great psychological edge with those menacing pieces. Below is my analysis (with SF9) delaying the forced perpetual, but instead repositioning the N for Nf6 hole then pounce the kingside of black. Suprisingly, position reaches an endgame with Q vs R+R endgame with a possible +- for white.

Analysed with SF9 and multi-pv = 5.
There might be some inaccuracy, but I think I like the Q versus 2 rooks on
the resulting endgame because of some white passed pawns and unsafe
black King.

That doesn't prove Black's winning for sure of course, but I too would rather take the early threefold for White at 17th.

I tried Sting SF 9.9 with hash 1024 and only 1 thread (30 minutes on a very slow old machine).
Sting is very useful (gives possibility to reach a high depth) in solving difficult tactical middle-game positions too.

The both Stockfish 9 and Sting SF 9.9 together are able to find the real best move practically in each position. :)
