Speaking of fire...

Post by Dann Corbit »

Fire is giving Houdini fits right now on TCEC
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

I did some Fire 6.1 testing. Funnily it still has one Stockfish bug, which was corrected before version 8...

Well, before someone thinks very badly.
Houdini and Fire were Ippolit derivatives, now some of us think they are Stockfish derivatives, so any theory works.

The truth is that Norman publishes the new versions before TCEC, then the improved versions during TCEC for whatever reason,
are not published.
