Dear Frank,
Are there any differences between the first and the second Wasp test? I see that the opening book and the opponents are the same.
I was surprised the previous version improved between tests, to get the best results in the fourth round of testing. Are some changes made to the engine?

Hi Boban,
no changes in book version and opponents, no changes in Wasp version. 4 test-runs x 1.000 games I like to start.

Dear Boban,
you can found the information here:
Wasp news:
http://www.amateurschach.de/main/_wasp.htm
Wasp games:
http://www.amateurschach.de/main/_wasp-beta-test.htm
For the moment: No Elo gain to the beta version from Mai 2017. But after all I can see again a bit more aggressive as the latest release version. More I can say if I have 4.000 games.
In my opinion a nice playing style is more important as Elo. Sure that the next release version will be great for the Wasp fans.
Best

Has John confirmed whether the new Wasp will have MultiPV analysis enabled?

Re: Wish: Multi PV for Wasp ...
Hi Brendan,
I missed that UCI feature too.
I never asked John, sorry for that.
Often not enough time and if I have it ... to many work with the FEOBOS project. After FEOBOS (in around 4 months) I have more time for testing Wasp in detail.
But an important question!
Sure John will read that.

Brendan,
You probably forgot, you asked John the same question, and he answered:

BSHi Brendan, thanks for the kind comments. I have multi-pv implemented in the search, but forgot to add it as a UCI option. I will do this for the next version.

I guess what I meant to ask was:
"Will it be operational in the next release?"

Yes, the next version of Wasp will have multi-pv.
I'm hoping to get about +50 Elo over Wasp 2.01 for the next release. But this is proving to be difficult .

Please support the uci command "show current move" in the analysis mode for pv 1(no multi-pv).jstanback wrote:Yes, the next version of Wasp will have multi-pv.

This will be a great gift.
Thx in advance.
