There are people who like to invent strange positions and then have others solve them.

It is not at all unusual for the positions to be illegal.

Personally, I like legal positions better, but the illegal ones can be fun too.

If you go to chess solver sites or to YACPDB you will find positions that are either not legal or not achievable from the starting position.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
