Dear all,

I have just published a little interdisciplinary essay on swindling in (computer) chess. It has appeared in Walter Eigenmann's nice Glarean magazine. For those of you who are interested as well in the philosophical and cultural aspects of chess (and equipped with a moderate command of the German language), it might be worth a brief visit:

All the best,

Thank you for posting that link - I am (more or less) reading the article now, although Google translate is not very good at the translation.

Amazing (to me), it translates the chess move ...Te8 into ...Re8 but in English refers to 'rook' as a 'tower'. The latter is understandable, but the former was very unexpected! :)

The opening story is very interesting...

Danke. (alas, that is the limit of my knowledge of German, aside from "zwie bier bitte" - which doesn't seem to apply in this case...)
