The problem is TBAccess.dll. The very first version of the Fritz 15 package includes a copy that works with the F15 engine, later updates screw it up.

An earlier post of mine explains how to fix that:
tpoppins wrote: Another tip: the Nalimov tablebases support is broken in all GUI versions except the original F15. To fix the problem update the GUI to the latest version (currently v15.21 for F15 and v14.43 for DF14) then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChessBase\Endgames (may want to change "Program Files" to "Program Files (x86)" for the 32-bit version, I don't know as I never used it) and rename file TBAccess.dll to something else (e.g. TBAccess.dl_).
Reload the Fritz 15 engine and go to the engine settings. Notice a change? The "Use TBAccess" checkbox is gone, there is now a "NalimovProbeFrequency" spin box in its place. You can change the value from 0 to 256 with it, the default is 36. You will also see that F15 reports tbhits again in its analysis.

BTW, some of the F15 UCI settings are explained in the online manual. Actually, the screenshots are from F15 while the text is a copy-and-paste from a Rybka 4 help file, so some of the info is wrong (e.g. the NalimovUsage setting - but see the previous paragraph).

I renamed it to TBAccess.dl_)..dll and now Fritz 16 is able to probe Nalimov egtb.
