Tablebases Nalimov and Fritz 15

Post by keres »

I've Tablebases Nalimov 3-4-5-6 but Frtz 15 is not working with them, when all is right with Deeo Frtz 14, why this? The set up is the same! Thanks for your reply.

For 6-men Nalimov to work you have to have them seperated

3+3-with-pawns

3+3

4+2-with-pawns

4+2

Load each in "Nalimov (Engine)"

Cashe of 128 Mb is recommended for 5-men. Slighter higher for 6-men.

Code: Select all

Nalimov cache size - this is the size of an endgame cache of Nalimov tablebase positions. If you have all 4,5 & 6 piece tablebases then use 512MB or more. For 5 piece tablebases you can use less, e.g.128MB. For just 4 piece tablebases 32MB is enough. The up/down arrows allow the adjustment of the Nalimov cache size in values which are powers of 2 or half steps thereof (e.g. 32Mb, 48Mb, 64Mb, 96Mb,128Mb). Alternatively, you can click on the value to enter an exact Nalimov cache size.

I' ve not all Tablebases 6, but the most important only (for 29,3 GB about). I don't think that is the problem, because Deep Fritz 14 is working well with them. Thanks the same.

On my PC i 've Nalimov, syzygy and Gaviota Tablebases, Fritz 15 is not reading these; all is OK for Deep Fritz 14, Komodo 3, Houdini 5.01 and Stockfish 8.
