Exe for gui --> Aretar.exe

Configured to play depth 5. (aretar.ini)
Hi Pedro, the problems mentioned by me and Norbert have nothing to do with not moving or similar.
Actually your Aretar file is a completely different compile and therefore works, thanks.
I will upload it to the RWBC download site, as the original download site has
expired, if you agree.

Yes, you can, the exe file was created and distributed by the author.
Ok, thanks. I will upload two setups (Arena/WB) with a readme soon.
I have not checked your solution with Arena, is this for a special time control?
I ask because of:
2000 := \ngo depth 5\n
My solution is only for 40 moves/time controls.
movestogo 40:=\ngo depth 5\n

I did test playing games of 2 minutes plus 2 seconds of increase (for my Elo list) and I tried that Aretar played more or less in that time control. 2000 I remembered that it was 2 seconds in milliseconds. This is something the GUI sends with every move.

I imagine you can use also movestogo, but the value of movestogo does not change with each move?

I now can not do tests on my pc until I fix it.

Ah, ok you replaced just the sent increment value with the depth command...
If people have questions how to adapt it, I have simply added the link to this thread in the readme.

Yes, that was just the first line, but strangely enough it works already with only 3 lines instead of 40 as expected.
Probably at some point it just stays with the given depth command.

Code: Select all

[Client2Server]
movestogo 40:=\ngo depth 5\n
movestogo 39:=\ngo depth 5\n
movestogo 38:=\ngo depth 5\n

[Server2Client]
x :=
