Popcount version is not running on my system, i7 7500U.

Normal 64 bit version runs ok.

Linux version doesn't run on my Intel i5 (popcount) box.
Maybe it's compiled on new hardware(AVX or BMI2) with 'native' flag.
When I start from command line I get : Illegal instruction (core dumped)

I downloaded the .zip archive on an i5 6200U system with Windows 10. The popcount version runs ok there. The other x64 version (made for core 2 duo and core 2 quad processors) was blocked by avast, sent to them for further inspection and hopefully in 2 hours I will be allowed to run it. But its not my machine, so I will not retry it soon.

The linux version was compiled with AVX.

Now I replaced the archive with a new one that contains
Arminius (AVX version as before)
Arminius-core_i (non AVX version, very close in speed to the AVX version)
Arminius-core2 (should work with any 64 Bit processor core 2 or later)

No program is tested on a non AVX processsor.

The native linux version of Arminius 2017 is working ok in XBoard with AMD A4-5300 cpu and Mint 17 64bit OS.
It works ok both as a linux UCI engine with polygot in XBoard and also as a native XBoard engine.
Default UCI options are shown below

How odd, it works on my AMD FX8350. Usually if there are issues it would be the othjer way round !

The 32bit executable runs ok in Arena on my very old Athlon-XP computer with Windows XP.
That means it will run on any of my computers. Nearly all of them have AMD CPUs, and I have no icore or other core type ones at all.
Thanks.
