Hello

Is there a suite with hundreds of positions, that will contain all posible (or at lest the most of them) kind of patterns that are usually evaluated by an engine. I mean:
- positions with rooks on 7th.
- positions with strong king attack
- positions with passed pawns
- positions with any kind of endgames
- positions with outpost.
- ..... and so on.

I want it for testing purposes, in order to do sanity checks with very fast searches of my engine....the correctly execution of the code with asserts and flipping boards, not a correct evaluation

The easy way is to just get a lot of positions.

Here is 5 million positions from CCRL dump: https://bitbucket.org/waterreaction/gir ... _5M.epd.gz

If you have any pattern that never appears in 5M positions, it's probably safe to take it out.
