Stockfish 8 rating on IPON rating list

A jump of 67 points over Stockfish 7 - amazing that there can be improvements of this size at this level. Congrats to the Stockfish team! :D

+80 elo at 60', +94 at faster 20', according to some tests, and only +67 at 5 min.
If I am not wrong, last year with SF 7 and SF 6 the trend was reversed: SF 7 scored better at 5 min in comparison to framework-tested 60', but if wrong, would be happy to be corrected.

If that were true, SF 8 implemented some good-scaling terms and routines, but also a lot of badly-scaling. Too many simplifications?
