It would be interesting (but quite difficult, most probably) to get such data after 1000 hours of use and so on...

From a reputable source, it is now discovered that the exynos version is using a far more conservative cpu Governor. In real world tests it is slower than snapdragon variant.
See here

Also according to some tests the snapdragon battery life is better. Maybe Samsung fixed the governor to help exynos version match snapdragon in battery life. Or maybe they are limiting exynos so that Qualcomm doesn’t sue Samsung. Any clues?

Have a new benchmark for the Sony Xperia xz2 with Snapdragon 845.
4759 kNPS

It begins with numbers>5300 and then thermal problems reduce the score, after 2’ the result is then the above number.

Sony has changed the design of its phones. They do not look anymore like a bar of chocolate.
It’s now a fluid design that is very good in the hand.
5.7” Display. Display is HDR and Videos can be made in 4K and HDR.
19 MP camera with slow motion up to 960 frames per second !!

Didn't see the Kirin 970 processor on the list, so here is the score I got. The phone is Huawei's mate 10 pro (octacore arm64, 4 x 2362mhz + 4 x1844mhz)

The version of Stockfish used in the test is the one that ships with Droidfish, Stockfish 9.

Version 222 suggested by Thorsten does not work on this device, although it does work on my older phone and gives many more nps than the current version on that phone, so make of that what you will.

Anyway, running the test gave a score of 3444kn/s after a couple of minutes.

Would be interesting to modify the list based on nodes per pound (dollar, euro...), how would the list look then i wonder? In this case I am getting 9,087 nodes / £

Great phone btw, it ships with 128gb of storage, 6gb of ram, as well as a 4,000mah battery, the camera is not bad either.

The 970 is in almost all Huawei phones. I guess i must have benchmarked it in the Huawei p20 pro’s I had so far .
Had the phone twice.
I made a step backwards,
Bought a Motorola z2 Force and an essential phone ph-1.

Reason is I don’t like glass phones.

Glass is to fragile for me,
It’s ok when the screen is glass, but why the backside too ????
Or even worse, the edge too (Samsung).

Soory but I will not buy such a bullshit.

I do buy Metall or plastic phones, but not glass all around.
The Motorola z2 force has NO glass. Neither front nor backside !!!!!

The essential phone has android 9 !!!! And costs only 399. Bought it for 320.
Amazon sold it for 250 dollar.
It’s as fast as the z2 force and has ceramic at the backside.
AND like the pixel phones, Android 9.

I do not buy glass phones anymore and do communicate this too the public and companies.

No glass with me.

Glass backs are essential to achieving wireless charging. Also glass feels good in the hand for some people.
Just use a case if you have a glass back phone.
And to make you a better writer in English, here are some corrections:
"I will not buy such a bullshit" should be "I will not buy such bullshit".
"No glass with me" should be "No glass for me".
