Got it to compile, thanks! The earlier problem was apparently caused by the -c99 switch being on in my compiler settings.

If you have code::blocks installed, open the project in the cfish folder.
If it does not build, then adjust the path to the binaries for the compiler to be the path on your machine and the names of the files on your machine.

I just use the base name (gcc, g++, make, etc.)

If you use msys2, you will have to collect make because for some strange reason, make does not come with msys2 by default

Why does the Cfish eval (with Syzygy configured) suddenly drops down to -128.51 at Moves 21 and 22, then goes back to 0.0?

The new code compiled under Code::Blocks once I added the new files numa.h, numa.c, settings.h and settings.c to the project and made the following changes:
1. In numa.h, after the first two lines,

2. In numa.c, in the first line, I added

Meanwhile, the same problem persists in the previous and new compiles. When they are configured under Arena with the UCI setting of 4096M hash, the hash is reported at 2064M. Stockfish and AsmFish set promptly to 4096. Please look into this.

I have found a real bug that I introduced when porting to C. It is now fixed. It may well have caused what Dmitri saw.
