Komodo 10.1

Hi, anyone having issues running K 10.1 in fritz 14 gui?

I cannot get it to work on any of my 3 machines at stock speed or overclock,

I have tried 2nd download latest patch update for fritz no go it crashes in playchess.com

and only gets to ply 5 to 10 i have priority set and checked box as normal for new engine reboots still no go same on 3 machines different operating systems uninstalled fritz reinstalled no go...

If i run on one core less in fritz it seems happy whats going on.

so on 6 core i7 980x use 5 cores all good but use 6 no go ?????

No problems in Fritz 13.

Just making a wild guess here:

Are you sure you do not have something else running? that is occupying at least 1 core of your machine?

Sometimes background processes silently hog resources that go unnoticed but are very visible with chess programs.

With no real information this is just my guess. Maybe you can provide more information about your machine and setup and that would help finding some other potential issue.

Also make sure that you are only using enough hash so as to NOT page the memory into hard disk, that will KILL the performance too.

Try to validate these 2 things, and let us know if any of that helped.

Resolved with the help of Mark L

and you are correct i wish i had seen your post Mark pointed me in the right direction in task manager 25% was been hogged by windows update caught in a download loop i disabled and all is good...
