just checking the progress - yet there is none.

Still the elo 1800 openingstricks of Erdo work because they didn't improve the chessknowledge of the engines.

Erdo just takes the previous version of an engine; "heh it wants to capture on a6"

==> for example Hiarcs - Komodo

Then he plays total BS opening and guess what, it took on a6 - playing an elo 1500 move - which Erdo correctly understands of course as being a strategical bad plan for white

The level didn't improve.

You seem to miss the concept of a world championship versus what elo is.

It's about this one game. Or it's about 2 games in total.
There is 3 results possible.

Even a small change of the odds - which elowise will not even remotely be close to 70 elo - can change the balance and win you this game.

Of course a requirement is that you aren't falling for elo1800 traps of Erdo in openingsbook

If you have Erdo make the book of Jonny it wins of course with 13 out of 15 the title

I think these programs are capturing to much. Never heard of take is a mistake.

What about poisoned pawns. Engines just take them too easily.

I won't speak for other engines, but if Komodo has any flaw in this department, it is that it Sacrifices pawns too readily!

I think that was mostly a case of Komodo just not seeing quite as deeply as Jonny with its thousands of processors. Probably not a judgment/eval issue.
