I don't know what is wrong with moderation recently, but please stop moving genuine tournaments like Leiden, IGT and ACCA to the Tournaments and Matches section. The Tournaments and Matches section is really for home tournaments and people like me are not interested in home tournaments but are absolutely interested in genuine tournaments.
Thank you for your understanding
Torsten

Please continue the good work.
There is a group for tournaments.
That should be enough.
Sooner!

The tournaments section is absolutely where they belong, in my opinion. It is called "Tournaments and Matches", that is pretty unambiguous.

What he means is that if you move it there most people
Will not find out about the event.

There is a huge difference between announcements of big events for the purpose of attracting participants and audience, and presenting results of tournaments that individuals run on their own computer. Burrying the announcements in places where the intended audience will not look will severely hurt those events.
That moderators of TalkChess would feel compelled to severely hurt the computer-chess community is truly insane.

Are people really to stupid to look in the 'tournaments' section for tournaments?
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

It's not that I'm too stupid, it's just that viewing "Tournaments and Matches" is usually a waste of time for me.Dann Corbit wrote:Are people really to stupid to look in the 'tournaments' section for tournaments?
Deasil is the right way to go.
