Embla is missing in the list: https://www.vanheusden.com/Embla/
It is in the Wiki list:

Code: Select all

2016/03/13 Embla 0.9.1 Folkert van Heusden - UCI mp (INT_MAX cores); supports Syzygy ebtbs; Linux64, Mac, Win
Well, if you meant the GURL ('grand unified rating list') this is just because it seems it was not (yet?) tested by any of the named testers/organisations.

Well, it's better to rank RWBC among the 'old projects'. It is inactive (with one little exception) for over five years now. There are no plans to change this.

Already done in the second post.
Oops.

I now realized that I miss some game collections from famous old sites like Infinite Loop (Igor Gorelikov) and George Lyapko.

For Infinite Loop it seems all games are still there in the Wayback Archive!

Surely an interesting database : 34424 games !
http://web.archive.org/web/201109052025 ... 42_rat.txt
I'll look if I can retrieve all the games ...

You should also include the 'Dirty' tournament games from fonzy.
(Tons of 60 minutes games on good hardware!)

Files "New IL-41, Long" to "New IL-24, Long" are OK to download but older files are missing. Does someone know where is it possible to get them ?
Thanks,
Vincent

BTW what is that 'Mega Freeware' thing (never heard of it)?
Is there still a link available and who were the people involved?

I have found some of them:

Try IL-8 to IL-15.

Do you have the following files?

I didn't know these neither. I'll take a close look (I already seen some human games).

If you do us a little favour I would provide you some name corrections :) (double triple etc. entries - list already imported in OO)
It would be nice to have Mint exceptionally split in ponder on/off entries, because of its ponder bug (difference probably some hundred rating pts).

Thanks for the work on that list!

Thanks for your input Guenther.
I know there still a lot of duplicates.
I'll ask some questions about the exact name of some engines in this thread next week ...
Hi Vincent,

Just to make sure that you know about the --aliases (or -Y) feature of ordoprep. I think it could be very useful for this project. You can manage the duplicate names in a text file or alternatively in an excel sheet, save it as a "comma separated value" file and use that to clean the databases without actually replacing names.
