SmarThink v1.90 — March 2016 release of the engine. Major changes:

— additional endgame patterns recognition;
— improved beta pruning for depth = 1 nodes;
— fixed bug in "semi-interior node" recognition;
— better check evasions ordering;
— several optimizations including combined middlegame/endgame int eval vector;
— further eval tuning;
— development patterns handling.

Estimated ELO gain: +30-40.

Very respectable considering running 32 bit under wine. The 30+ ELO gain is int ballpark of what we are testing against other engines from Crafty 25.0 - the bars here are still pretty high - so consider it a very rough estimate of the Crafty gain since v25.0. As far as the comparable native mac Crafty vs non native mac ST 1.9 - it's not a fair test and was not the point of my post.

I can´t load an engine inside Fritz 13 and 14 GUI.

Are you ok with previous version?..
I have Fritz14 GUI and it works well with ST. Have you tried to simply run engine executable?

thanks for the engine. It works here too inside Fritz 14, but does not use tbs, as they are here in f:\tbs and not under c:\tablebases.
This uci parameter is not shown in the GUI to change them. I have made an .ini with correct path and SMT finds the tbs inside command prompt, but not inside Fritz 14.

Smarthink 1.80 and 1.90 don't work at Owl Rating List.
I only use Arena GUI with Linux/WINE or Windows 7/8.1/10.

Neither 64-bit nor 32-bit worked even with libiomp5md.dll installed.
My CPU's are all AMD 4 cores with 8GB RAM.

This is the reason why the latest Smarthink versions don't appear in my rating list. Older Smarthink 1.70 is ok.
