Alpha-beta
Not easy enough you can make errors in signs and position of alpha, beta and in the result. I mean -alphabeta(-beta, -alpha).

Maybe we should here look for a feature which hardly can go wrong.
Dude, it doesn't get any less complex than that. If you can't differentiate between + and - you can't write a chess program.
Also I still think alpha beta search is not easy to understand (for a beginner). There often are questions about alpha beta search.

Record: Best engine relative to used hardware

To make a start for engine with best logo: I nominate Sting and DisasterArea though I have not seen many logo's yet. So opinion might change.
