Writing is the antidote to confusion.
It's not "how smart you are", it's "how are you smart".

No problem. The TalkChess software doesn't know that brackets are legal characters in a web link. There are other workarounds - but TinyURL just fixes everything you ever have a problem with web links.rabbits23 wrote:Thanks Paul.

I am watching it. The sound was terrible for the first hour, and then about 15 minutes was repeated.towforce wrote:This video is 4 hours long. Has anyone watched it?
The commentary is pretty good, though. I had no idea there was an occidental 9-dan available for the broadcast.
Deasil is the right way to go.

Unfortunately I do not see the evaluation of AlphaGo.Jesse Gersenson wrote:Game 2:

For people with no knowledge about go it is the only way to evaluate who is going to win.
I think that it may be interesting also to have statistics about the percentage of moves that AlphaGo pondered correctly.

2-0
Watching the broadcast it was clear the google guy (on stage left) was given the evaulations. When the eval was a clear win he stood up and, tired from hours of focus, wanted to end the broadcast.
So, the eval is available, but not public. I agree with this choice. Showing the eval detracts interest in the game and places focus on the number.
