Chess Engine Review: DisasterArea 1.54 (Cognac Settings ;) )

Post by BrendanJNorman »

Hey guys,

Last night I did a review of DisasterArea with an emphasis on some settings I created (much in the style of Zappa Mexico Dissident Aggressor, but different still).

Thought someone might find it interesting.

Have a look if you like. ;)

Here are Brendan J. Norman changed "Cognac" settings for Jochen Peussner's engine DisasterArea 1.54 (default value in brackets):

Code: Select all

PawnStruct (100) 80
Mobility (100) 210
King_Safety (100) 400
King_Attacks (100) 400
Pins (100) 200
The engine's website is http://desasterarea.jimdo.com/ [sic]

Thanks for adding those details, Marek.

Do let me us know if anybody has nice results with this one, I'd love to see! :D

Just don't waste your time testing it against engines 2600+, my intention was to make a crazy, sparring partner for MYSELF (about 2200 ELO or so). ;)
