the first method failed. I guess the program can't find the proper engine path (although I specified it in the makefile)

the second method is working. thanks! :)

Thanks for update Pawel.

In 'search.cpp' for printing pv 64 bit integers in Linux should be

%lld

instead of

%I64d

Jim.

Hi Pawel,

this version of Rodent loads okay on an old Q6600, but fails to start thinking.

Fixed. If anyone experiences such problems, please re-download the package from http://www.pkoziol.cal24.pl/rodent/rodent_download.htm and use rodent64_plain.

EDIT: I wonder if a moderator could help my incompetent self out and fix the pgn tags in this post. I don't know why they didnt work. :(

Pawel, I've really been enjoying my time tweaking new personalities with this engine. You've got a winner here!

Here is poor Maverick (as we know, a great engine in his own right!) taking punishment from 2 different personalities I have tried.

So seeing games like, this I really have to congratulate Pawel on a fantastic, highly tweakable engine with excellent style.

Looking forward to future releases!

By the way, I'll do a full review of this engine within a week (a testing tournament has now completed).

Brendan, for a working game display it is enough to delete a space in pgn tag.

I can't wait to learn Your Cognac settings, these games are a joy to watch.

I've now done the review and shown what settings I used for the 3 personalties I have been using.

Do you think the style would be even nicer if I increased king tropism a bit? I'm not expert at this stuff, and the style already seems nice haha.

Again, Thanks Pawel for an awesome engine!

Brendan, thanks for your review of Rodent II as well as your settings. I can't wait to give them a try.

Pawel, your engine's more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Thank you for creating it and continually making it more useful for players of all levels.

Almost have a Mac version working , it compiles , it starts , uci command works, but on any go command , it segmentation fault and exits .
