Stockfish 7 is out!
This release is around 60 ELO stronger than Stockfish 6 in self play.
SMP algorithm has been changed from YBW to Lazy SMP.
Gary Linscott is now officially listed as a co-author.
The official binaries will be made available from
http://stockfishchess.org/ shortly.
Meanwhile feel free to use binaries from
http://abrok.eu/stockfish.
If you have Windows x64 Hashwell system, the following binaries built by Kiran Panditrao perform around 5% better compared to abrok's builds:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hfvnn7yta45tz ... P.zip?dl=0
As a side note: Stockfish 7 beta2 is functionally fully identical to Stockfish 7.
On behalf of the Stockfish Team,
Joona Kiiski

Hi Joona and to the other Stockfish developer,
thanks for the new release and for the Special Haswell compile too. I will test it later this year with Contemp = 6 or 8. I think vs. weaker opponents should give this settings "maybe" 5 points more.
Have a good new year!
Best
Frank

Sorry, I can't understand your question. To download Stockfish 7, just go to
http://abrok.eu/stockfish/ and download the latest version.
The binaries will likely also be available from the official website in a few hours...

What I meant was that I was following the Stockfish team's discussion about the final binaries, and I was wondering whose binary did they choose for the "modern" version, aka POPCNT.

The
http://stockfishchess.org/ is now updated with SF7. POPCNT version seems same as Abrok.

Stockfish Team doesn't maintain Android version.
However Peter Osterlund (who maintains Droidfish Android app which based on Stockfish) confirmed that Stockfish 7 compiled fine for him.
So the next version of Droidfish app is likely to contain Stockfish 7.

http://stockfishchess.org/download/ has been updated.
It contains the currently fastest known binaries for Stockfish 7.
