I can't get pikoSzachy Extreme 2 working on my i5 as either a winboard engine or through using the wb2uci adapters.

What is the problem? Any error message?Graham Banks wrote:I can't get pikoSzachy Extreme 2 working on my i5 as either a winboard engine or through using the wb2uci adapters.
Does it work in console mode?
Is it blocked by anty-vir?
What is your OS?
Does it work on other CPU?

I'll try another computer.Piotr Cichy wrote:What is the problem? Any error message?Graham Banks wrote:I can't get pikoSzachy Extreme 2 working on my i5 as either a winboard engine or through using the wb2uci adapters.

Only message I got was a Microsoft Security Essentials message indicating there might be an issue with the file.

I'm running a NanoSzachy 4.1 64-bit Gauntlet on another computer without any issues, so will see how things go with PikoSzachy as well.Graham Banks wrote:I'll try another computer.Piotr Cichy wrote:What is the problem? NanoSzachy runs without any issues on both popcount and non-popcount computers.Graham Banks wrote:I'm running a NanoSzachy 4.1 64-bit Gauntlet on another computer without any issues, so will see how things go with PikoSzachy as well.Graham Banks wrote:I'll try another computer.Piotr Cichy wrote:What is the problem? PikoSzachy 4.1 doesn't start thinking and loses on time. This is despite being able to open it in a console window and getting output after typing go.
PikoSzachy Extreme 2 same as 4.1, but with the added problem that I keep getting pop up boxes suggesting it's a security risk.
Odd considering that I had no issues with previous PikoSzachy versions.
