Hi Dann,

if you can afford to lose much time, try to import old/new Winboard and Arena engines into "clean" installation of current ChessGUI and tell us how far you get.
If you can try, ...
- first set "max Engines allowed" in "Prefereces" to 5005 and import at most 5000.
- only accessible engines are imported from Winboard

BTW, if HGM wants to import from ChessGUI, I can tell him how to decode ChessGUI format.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hello Matthias,

What changes did you make with respect to engine import?

The previous, improved version worked brilliantly here; and I have a few engines...

:-)

Later.

No changes

Dann just happens to have installed ("a few" + 6000) engines !
Maybe he has already uninstalled a bunch of them. ... or shredded his computer when he vanished from the CCC. :(

The second problem is as old as the world in the program. Despite a number of settings and testing program, still exists. Error information can be found under the link http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 11&t=50492 It's not about TBs and about the strange traffic signs engines movement.
