Hey everyone, noobie here.
I use Arena and have played around with a few engines, I really enjoy customizing them a lot to get truly unique play. I'm looking for an engine I can customize that will do a lot sacrifices and take risks, similar to how Morphy and Tal use to do. It doesn't have to be the most accurate line, but something that leads to some advantage.
Any ideas on where to start?
Best engine in the style of Tal/Morphy (sacrifices, etc)?

The best engine for solving tactics is Houdini Tactical.
There is a tactical version of Stockfish found in archive Stockfish_150715b.7z that has some weights set to increase tactical scoring.
All recent Stockfish, Komodo and Gull engines are very good at tactics.
There are special tactical solvers like Rybka Winfinder that can {at times} find really clever moves quickly.
If you want to find checkmates of 8 full moves or less, then Chest is hard to beat.
Critter occasionally finds a solution that other engines have trouble with.

Sorry for the stupid question, but can someone explain how you'd configure these settings with something like Arena? Like if you install the engine via the .exe, how would you load the 'aggressor' settings?

Right-click on the engine window in arena and choose from the menu that pops up "configure zappa mexico II"
