Wondering how many people will be taking the free update to Windows 10 starting July 29th?

Re: Windows 10 Update Poll
I would like to know what happens with my activation codes e.g.
Fritz GUI, Fritz engines, Chessbase 13
or
for Shredder, Hiarcs, Houdini, Junior....
If anyone has experiences (e.g. with the preview version or tomorrow with regular update) :
it would be nice to read here.

Re: Windows 10 Update Poll
I will be formatting from 8.1 to the full version of windows 10.
I will reload all and then clean up the OS.
I have my egtb on separate ssd.
My OS ssd is pcie, very fast for bench but doesn't help chess.

Smart move. If I do decide to upgrade, I'll wait a few months so I'm not one of the guinea pigs.

No. It's total garbage. It's obvious with this release that Microsoft will never make another desktop OS I want.
They don't listen, it will be a disaster. 1B in 3 years? Hahaha.

Too cautious. I'm happy enough with Windows 7. Quite a few people I know
are still complaining about Windows 8

Re: Windows 10 Update Poll
I'm on the fence. The experts that I've listened to say that it's a pretty good upgrade. They are pushing it out the door too quickly, hence the reason to not be in a hurry to install it. The biggest negative about it is that you won't be able to refuse updates to Windows 10. I'm also a little concerned about all of my programs still running.
