"seamy" or "unseemly", but not "unseamy" here.syzygy wrote:The whole purpose of the FIDE Ethics Commission is to rule on complaints, so there is absolutely nothing unseamy about filing one.
The fact that the ruling was against the ICGA in addition shows that the complaint was far from frivolous.

Don't pick on spelling it so seedy.zullil wrote:"seamy" or "unseemly", but not "unseamy" here.syzygy wrote:The whole purpose of the FIDE Ethics Commission is to rule on complaints, so there is absolutely nothing unseamy about filing one.

Irregardless, the comments were misunderestimated.zullil wrote:"seamy" or "unseemly", but not "unseamy" here.syzygy wrote:The whole purpose of the FIDE Ethics Commission is to rule on complaints, so there is absolutely nothing unseamy about filing one.

Hello Graham,
Really?
You can't understand?
That must be because in the history of Talkchess, this is the first time it has ever happened - that a factual post is met with hostility.
Goodness!
I find it amusing, a little sad, somewhat interesting etc. but strange?
Nahhh. We have all seen this before.
It promises to be bumpy and we haven't yet left the station.
Later.

No matter what the FIDE has said about it: every sensible human being will immediately dismiss the disgraceful ICGA process right out of hand. When you let direct competitors vote, you simply lose all credibility. A shameful period in the history of computer chess.

Vas doesn't use it anymore according to some who still look at the site. It's considered a shrine by it's advocates.A Distel wrote:Roger Brown wrote:Graham Banks wrote:What I find strange is that posting an informative thread can meet with so much hostility...
