Scid vs. PC book and mask changes

Post by stevenaaus »

I've made some improvements to the Book Tuning feature in subversion.
Sorry - but sourceforge's GUI is largley down at the moment, so you can only get it via command line: svn update, or if you dont have it yet

Code: Select all

svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/scidvspc/code/ scidvspc-code
There are now "Add Line" and "Remove Line" buttons. "Add Line" then requests Add All/White/Black moves.

So people can make their own polyglot books with good moves/lines more easily. Of course, this is kind-of the idea behind Pascal's Mask feature which replaced the opening repertoire.

But the mask is so woefully unusable. (Does *anyone* use it much ?). It is kind of a book with comments/markers, that is - confusingly - shown in the tree window.

I'm just wondering how best to fix the mask, and/or integrate it's best features with the book/book tuning.

Is the version with adding lines available as an exe file for Windows?
