Which chess program has made the most impact on you as a chess player and why?
For me, it may have been the Fidelity Chess Challenger as that is around the time when I really became interested in chess. Not sure which program it was running however. In a close second place it would have had to been Chessbase Database that came on a 3.5 inch floppy disk.

It made lose probably 200 elo points, distracting me from playing.
