Tell me if you still have issues! http://www.mediafire.com/download/2pzd8 ... s_2.0a.rar

I was actually aiming for the previous release but I can't seem to get it nailed down. What GUI do you use for your ponder games. The only one that I know of that handles pondering is Arena but that seems to be really buggy. It is crashing not only my own attempts but also other engines with pondering as well.

I played many Ponder-matches under Arena 3.0 with various engines without problems. Newer 3.5 sometimes made problems here, so I downgraded to 3.0.
Whelp. I knew I shouldn't have trusted the GUI. I had 3.5 and as soon as I switched to 3.0 pondering worked like a charm. I already had all of the code in 2.0 but it was commented out because it wasn't working in arena. So it was pretty trivial to implement. Here is 2.0a with the relevant pondering code activated.
There are no such options in Nirvana. If you type "uci" after opening the engine you can see all of the settings that you can change. However, none of these change what is returned by the evaluation function.

So I'm sorry for the misunderstandig. It comes from this part of the Readme I had in the download- .rar of 2.0a:
Nirvana is a UCI engine and supports the following commands:
Hash - Default 32MB
Mobility - Default 100 Changes the effects of PST and mobility values
Aggressiveness - Default 100 Higher aggressiveness value increases Nirvana's willingness to
create attacks on the enemy king.
Cowardness - Default 100 Higher cowardness value increases Nirvana's willingness to keep
its king safe
