Here Ludmil would perhaps say after a 10 sec look:
Mate in 4: Qe1, Qh4, Qh6 and Qg7#.
My stockfish took over 8 min.
Kind regards
Bernhard
Took 8 mins to do what? Choose Qe1? How is this mate-in-4 (assuming Black is allowed to move)? Can't Black play h5?

Took 8 min to play Qe1.
May be white is winning after Qe1.
This is #4 for a human mind visualization. Black may try to hinder, but white gets advantage.
Yeah black can play h5, but then white has to remove the pawn.
Now I have said allready too much.

Kind regards

Hello Louis,

Rainbow Serpent finds it at a depth of 41 plies. In nodes then the Stockfish of Kim was about a billion nodes faster. The evaluation of Rh7 seems very different than that of Stockfish, because it is just a draw here.

Still a lot of FHs and FLs here at the end, immediately after completing the previous depth 43 :?
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Can your favorite engine find the winner here? If not, ask Lyudmil for help.

SF finds it---at depth 46!
Forgot to stop a search, so after hours of searching SF says
