It will be fixed soon. It only affects perft initialization of castling rights, it's not a problem with the move generation code.noctiferus wrote:Hi, Gary.
Yesterday I saw on TCEC that Perft7 was broken in the last versions, and your answer confirming it: I know that it is not your task, but would be so kind to tell me (us) if rhe new SF versions did correct it?
Thx in advance
Enrico
PS- I did not see it mentioned on today's update of SF. Maybe too early?

Hello Enrico:
Gary already answered you. Please visit this link for a more detailed track of the problem:
perft 7 from startpos is wrong in latest SF!!
The exact hours of the posts are not shown, but the problem was identified in less than an hour since the report (around 52 minutes more less). It was a Fitipaldi's solution.
Regards from Spain.

Re: New Stockfish dev +Syzygy compiles by Gary Linscott
But in the meantime, Gary, could you indicate "something" as comment of your compile in http://abrok.eu/stockfish_syzygy/gladius wrote:Hopefully it will be merged into mainline soon, and we don't have to worry which version corresponds with each other .
The syzygy branches are "unofficial" so their versions are not really tracked.
For instance, your latest compile (at this moment) is described as:
Author: Gary Linscott
Date: Thu Nov 20 03:37:39 2014 +0800
Timestamp: 1416425859
Move syzygy to a compile time flag
What could you add to make the link with http://abrok.eu/stockfish/ ?
(and BTW, what is the meaning of Move syzygy to a compile time flag ? )

This is my development branch for syzyzy, it's not really meant to be a production branch. If merging it into master is rejected, then we will need to figure out a better system. If it gets merged though, all problems go away .ernest wrote:But in the meantime, Gary, could you indicate "something" as comment of your compile in http://abrok.eu/stockfish_syzygy/gladius wrote:Hopefully it will be merged into mainline soon, and we don't have to worry which version corresponds with each other .

It's only a question of when will this happen...gladius wrote:If merging it into master is rejected, then we will need to figure out a better system. If it gets merged though, all problems go away .
But in the meantime, could you do something to clear up that synchronization issue ?

I hope you are aware that a few patches ago CB integrated the syzygy tablebases path into their tablebase settings and since then it does not show up in the engine parameters anymore. Cause its now handled by the gui.yanquis1972 wrote:im still not seeing a path to syzgybases available in the setup parameters (CB GUI)
