Sugar e-version seems to be little bit stronger than d-version.

The last post for a while

GUNNARPC, Blitz 1m+1s 0

1 Stockfish 231014 64 SSE4.2 +11 +41/=254/-31 51,53% 168,0/326
2 Sugar v2.0e x64 SSE4.2 -11 +31/=254/-41 48,47% 158,0/326

With this, I stop analysing for a while and pause posting in this channel. Hope it was interessting for someone.

All test is doing on Intel I7 3770 cpu. It calculate between 7 and 11 million nodes/s. In endigs...more n/s. Often 11 to 18 million nodes/s.

Did you get these results with multithread or single thread?

With multithread, the non reproducibility makes those results quasi-meaningless (unless you repeat the same tests many times)

I used 4 cpu.
In furure I shall use 1 cpu.
A lot to learn in testing and I was pleased that you learn me this.

Can I test 2 chess engines hundreds of game with 4 cpu (I have 4 prosessor with hypertrading, dvs. I can set up 8 cpu in the engine) ??

Do I get more correct result if I test chess engines hundreds of game with 1 cpu?

I like feedback like this one.

Yes, quasi-meaningless.
But as everybody uses multithread singlethread results are practically meaningless.
My slightly modified stockfish finds e4-e5 at depth 34+ in 4:26 min with a score of +2.60 on a AMD A6 running up to 2 GHz, 4 threads.

I know my results are meaningless.
:D

Kind regards

wrong ! They are the most practical way to determine what multithreads would achieve in large number of games.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

In it's deepest essense, chess itself is totally meaningless...

People who devote their whole life to this game, often find themselves
in rumination and despair, at old age. "What have I done with my life?
Just staring at a stupid board with some pieces..."

Very true, chess is indeed addictive, but better than being a drug or alcohol addict or womanizing !
I myself took up computer chess as a hobby in 2012, after an unhappy episode in my life involving my wife and my girlfriend !
I suppose the only solution is to find the correct balance between real life with its responsibilities and pleasures with chess.
