With bigger hash-tables (about 800 Mb where he used in the first try 200 Mb), WaDuuttie only needs 18 ply:

even after about a half dozen attempts, including one on a single thread, i can't replicate the good result from stockfish using the latest (oct 15) build) on slow hardware (4 cpu athlon 2400mhz). have allowed each search to run through depth 31. anyone else??

With Hash=4 GB, SF (1 thread) succeeds at depth 29. With other hash sizes I just tried---larger and smaller---the move is not found at that depth. So I guess I got "lucky" when I randomly chose 4 GB for my earlier runs.
