Indeed. Waiting until after TCEC is risky, in case they lose to Stockfish. But most purchasers wouldn't be too worried about that.

This has been fixed. You should be able to order for the discount price of $39.98 if you bought Komodo TCEC.Hurnavich wrote:I go through the motions add discount code then comes to pay pal and it says £0.00 whats going on?

There was a problem with the discount. It's working now.

Really smart decision. It will not sell so well when it will be beaten by Stockfish...

For sake of argument, let’s suppose Komodo doesn’t win. Look at the competition it overcame to get to the final. Look at the quality of the games it is playing.overlord wrote:Really smart decision. It will not sell so well when it will be beaten by Stockfish...
Many chess players are mainly interested in using engines to analyse games, etc. In this respect, I don’t see why they wouldn’t consider buying Komodo regardless of the outcome of TCEC. I use Stockfish too but I don’t see why I should only use one strong engine.
It’s early days but my I’m so far very impressed with Komodo 7. It appears to have improved tactically amongst other things. I’ll be using it a lot while analysing games and I’m happy that I did buy it.
