The problem how to get the value draw leads to the reversal question how to avoid a zero value. The second question seems to be much more difficult. It is not easy to get the proper code even if an idea seems to be be good.
In my warm head there are new ideas and I believe in the future I will do it much better, though.

It would be very great to have a SF-Solver (as in the past Rybka-Winfinder and Tactical Houdini 3 and 4). But draw detection added.
On Wikipedia, you can find some very interesting fortress too : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortress_%28chess%29
This great one : Nxe4!!

Later I'll put it on my blog,
Popcnt Intel version, and version easily.
Microsoft XP version with OLD_LOCKS.

Marek, maybe you should make an effort and move the code to the new Stockfish,
Not only for performance, even modernize .
Users can compile their machines with system BYO, example.

My modified Stockfish gives Ng4.
Wiki says:
White would lose after 1. Nd1 Kc4 or 1. Nh1 Be5 or 1. Ng4 Bg7.
I cannot see the white win after Ng4
Kind regards
Bernhard

I think your question is "Does Black win?"

Sorry.
You are obviously right.
My question is: How can black win after Ng4

Kind regards
Bernhard

Not there is a downside, it's entertaining. :)

But I see Sting almost 50 percent slower than the latest Stockfish.
And it's not your goal Marek, but fans always compare brute force. :?
