Hello together,
a new version Gull 3_syzygy (UCI-32&64x and source!) by Vadim Demichev is available. It uses Syzygy Bases now but cannot be considered as an official release of Gull. It's only a test version.

Ronald de Man´s / Syzygy EGTBs can be found on CCWiki here:

Perhaps you can give it a try if the engine runs on Deep Fritz 13 or 14 graphical interface correctly.
Best wishes,
Norbert

That seems very unlikely, as Gull is Windows only.gleperlier wrote:Only Unix version available to download ?
The zip contains 3 .exe files.

Same for me.
The ZIP-file contains only one file "Gull_ 3_syzygy".

It is a zip file that was compressed using gzip. So first decompress it, then rename it as gull.zip (if necessary), then unzip it.fastgm wrote:The ZIP-file contains only one file "Gull_ 3_syzygy".

I get an error message that states that "the archive is in an unrecognized format or damaged".syzygy wrote:It is a zip file that was compressed using gzip. This is the first compressed file I have not been able to open/unzip/decompress for a long time. Is this a new zip format?
EDIT: I figured it out -- I had to change the downloaded .zip file's extension to .gz then decompressed it to a single file to which I added the .zip extension and decompressed this file as well; it worked
Thanks,
CL
