I acquired the domain name winboard.nl!

I plan to migrate most of my web activities there, in due time. I already have a http server running there (on a rented VPS), but for now the website consist of just an 'under construction' notice.

I have already started to create a mirror of my on-line source-code repository there, at http://winboard.nl/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi .

The Variant Chess Server will also move there, as the old machine I was running it on has died, ad the VPS is supposed to have more reliable and faster connection to the internet anyway. I already installed the ICS there, and it is up and running. It is a completely fresh install; all existing accounts on the old VICS should be considered lost.

One thing that has annoyed me in the past about winboard, but more generally free software, is that old software repositories persist even after they become irrelevant.

It makes finding the most current branch hard to do. I'm not terribly up to date on winboard's web sites, but just something to keep in mind imho.
