Good News

Post by Eelco de Groot »

I just discovered that a team of prospective moderators has nominated itself for the election later this week. They are Roger Brown, Fabien Letouzey and John Merlino with as an alternative Sam Hamilton. I think they are all programmers?

Without any opposition, it seems certain they will get the job. I just wanted to thank them already for doing this and taking this on, relieving the outstanding team we have, after a very long term. I think the outgoing moderators must have served for more than a year, maybe even a year and a half? Thank you very much, all of you, also the outgoing team! Without you, this forum could not function properly! Also kudos to Mark Young for standing as an individual moderator!

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Thanks a ton Eelco. :) We've actually moderated for more than two years now... It's nice to see it looks like a year to you, because for us it looks like ten years.

We'll of course root for Roger, Fabien, John & Sam : we're certain they'll do a great job if they're elected! :)

You did this for over 2 years? That sounds hideous to have to do. I got out as quick as I could and that was with having Graham to do most of the actual work.

Well, we do have Adam... But blaming him constantly is nearly as tiring as it is funny. :P
