Or your wife asks "How's your Alzheimer's today?" You respond "What are you talking about?" She replies "So it is getting worse?"chetday wrote:I recently turned 66, and I'll add to your and Robert's list of advantages to being this old:
1) Ushers at movie theaters will offer to hold open doors or carry popcorn for you while you stumble to your seat;
2) Checkout girls at supermarkets look around and ask if they should call for a boy to help you carry out your bag of groceries containing a loaf of bread and a tube of Preparation H for your hemorrhoids;
3) Your wife moves your wallet and car keys from where you put them the night before so she can get a good laugh while you go nuts trying to remember where they are.
So... Happy Birthday, Fernando!

I am going to release Gaviota v1.0 as a gift. I am sorry it does not come with the "taunting" mode we talked about once, but it is really difficult for graphic interfaces to deal with those efficiently, since they do not have a proper chat window. That is something that protocols are seriously lacking. Congratulations!fern wrote:Today, february 19, I became a 65 years old guy.

Happy Birthday!
I was quite amused to see someone on the bus recently (in Israel) boasting he had just just become 65 at long last and that now he can pay half fare. He was talking as if he was a proud child who had just reached his 8th birthday that day, but he was doing it for 65!
OK, good for him.

Isn't that sweet, but highly insulting?chetday wrote:I recently turned 66, and I'll add to your and Robert's list of advantages to being this old:

And another thought:
If a person at 66 was not married but intrends to get married (or remarried?) asap (and I'm certainly not talking about myself, but can imagine), and suddenly realizes that he is more likeable, including to young women etc, and if that man manages to propose to a much younger woman with that in mind...
(might seem natural enough)
What would happen?

Is it that they can afford to be nice and sweet to you because now they have you where they want you?chetday wrote: 2) Checkout girls at supermarkets look around and ask if they should call for a boy to help you carry out your bag of groceries containing a loaf of bread and a tube of Preparation H for your hemorrhoids;
