This thread is for coverage and discussion of the upcoming World Chess Championship between the champion, Viswanathan Anand, and the challenger, Magnus Carlsen, which runs from November 9 to November 26 (not counting the possibility of tie break games). We the moderators are asking you the members to use this thread instead of creating new threads. This does not mean that threads can not be created for topics such as engine analysis of moves played during the match. But, we do wish to keep the general forum from being flooded with multiple threads concerning the match.
This thread remain at the top of the first page for the duration of the World Chess Championship.

I believe that during the World Chess Championship Match there will be a record number of viewers on chess servers that are covering the match,particularly PLAYCHESS and the ICC .So therefore administrators should make sure that their servers can handle the load.

That is a total of 6 treads (+ 1 extra for tiebreak). In the other way, we have 12 treads and if you take into account they bounce up on every new message, we end having dancing WC treads.
6 treads has same problem but looks more easy to deal, and less invasive for computer-chess only fans

Those stats includes a big timeframe, many games when Carlsen was a teenager. If you count games from 2010 on today, they are equal +4, -4, =19JuLieN wrote:BTW, Anand leads, against Carlsen : +15, -11, = 36.
Carlsen is strongest acording to ELO but Anand has experience.
