Chess match of the 21th century

Post by FWCC »

THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING,IT SEEMS THE STARS HAVE LINED UP FOR CARLSEN TO WIN THE WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2013.HE HAS YOUTH,ENERGY AND TALENT.IT MAY BE HIS TIME.ANAND IS ALREADY GREAT,HOWEVER THIS UPCOMING MATCH WILL BE ANAND'S BIGGEST CHALLENGE.IN MY OPINION IF ANAND CAN WIN AND HOLD HIS TITLE HE WILL HAVE CATAPULTED HIMSELF UP TO AND MAYBE BEYOND THE RANKS OF THE GREAT KASPAROV.IF ANAND RETAINS THE TITLE HE WILL BE AMONG THE GREATEST OF THE GREATS APPROACHING A CLASS UNTO HIMSELF HOLDING THE TITLE FOR THE 6TH TIME AGAINST THE LIKES OF A MONSTER MAMMOTH PLAYER LIKE CARLSEN.THIS MATCH WILL BE HUGE THE WORLD WILL LITERALLY COME TO A STOP.THIS RANKS UP THERE WITH FISCHER-SPASSKY 1972 IN MY OPINION

Why the capital letters?

Both sides will blunder several times.
There will be many positions that the 2800 GM humans wont understand until the 2800 GM human gets back to the hotel and runs the game through his pc, then he will understand the positions.

Humans are way overrated.
What would the GM be rated if points were deducted for blunders?
Then all of our GMs would be 2300 and more realistically rated.

If anyone blunders I think it will be Carlsen.Anand is a pretty solid player.Since this is Carlsen's first World Championship match his nerves will be on edge.I look forward to a good match.

Yes, it's annoying, the posting form should not accept message with more than 20% capital letters.

Anand can blunder at any time.
Here Anand has worse blunder of his career.
Note score before and after the Anand blunder.

this match, I think, will be similar to the would-have-been match of 1975 between Fischer and Karpov...

if I remember right, most folks thought back then, that Karpov would have won the match...

Even though Magnus is 95 elo pts. stronger I think match experience will carry Anand through to win the title.
