I just seen one and it made me laugh, "turdstorm" :lol:

I think that that handle was the one that convinced Darooha that it was IMPOSSIBLE to screen out all the possibly offensive names that people could dream up. Xbox live has the same problem... BTW as a strong chess player, he did "suck". :)

I never was on ICC, but my old handle was "BishopFianchetto".

Garompon = GM Pablo Zarnicki

Maybe only an Argentine will get it...

Poronga = local slang for penis
Garompo = syllables reversed
Garompon = Augmentative

So, it means "huge penis". The reversed syllables is a common way for Buenos Aires people to talk in slang and that confuses even other Spanish speaking people.

When I saw that in ICC long time ago I could not stop laughing.

Sounds like it coincided with the rise of "verlan" in France in the mid to late 80s. Same idea, and of course the term stems from l'envers that means backwards.
