Because there are so many books with that title, can you confirm this is the correct book?

The Sleepwalkers by Christopher Clark

I have and watched the legendary 22-part BBC documentary on WWI. It is ironic that it took me over 15 years to get rid of the trauma I had from high school against history after suffering so many bad teachers. Nowadays I love the subject and read quite a lot on history.

I will add it to my 'To Read' list, but need to warn you that my next few months will be dedicated to Brazilian literature. Right now I am about 1/4 through the works of Machado de Assis.

Soldiers during first world war.
Wasn't it about soldiers sleeping in the mud with swollen feet and rats nibbling on their toes.
