I mainly use my chess app Shredder on my Iphone to analyse positions and games (and to do some opening preparation).
A nice program, but without multivariation mode...
Wonder if any other app can do the job?
I have also tried to find a comparison of chess apps, but have not found a good updated comparison...
Any chess app with multivariation mode for iphone?

Chess Pro can give up to 4 main lines. It use to go under the name Chess Tiger but changed name Chess Pro. It is by Christophe Theron.

Please have a look at my (german) reviews at Chess Computer Corner:

The second (good) App with two (iPhone 5: three) variations is
Small Chess (Pro):
www.smallchess.com
And here you find some words of the author at this forum:

Yes, it is really nice with multi variation mode.Cubeman wrote:Chess Pro can give up to 4 main lines. It use to go under the name Chess Tiger but changed name Chess Pro. It is by Christophe Theron.
It gives a fast understanding understanding of the possibilities in a position.
Especially nice with the moves shown as arrows on the chessboard!
I would like to present a link so you could see how these arrows work.
But I could not find any video on youtube.
I can recommend this 'Chess Pro - with coach' with its multi variation.
(not to be confused with Kerrigans Chess Pro)
You can even try out a free version with a limited use.
But the pro version only cost ca. one euro/dollar!
And if you use Iphone and Ipad you can use it on both.
I wonder how strong it really is?
Is it the Tiger engine?

Here is my original wish for multi variation mode - use of colours may improve the info:
Multi variation mode for analysis is a BIG wish for serious players!
fx with arrows on the board (rapidly changing if they overlay each other?!).
big blue arrow - the best move
0.10 - thin blue arrows
- and the traffic lights:
0.30 - green arrows
0.50 - yellow arrows
1.50 - red arrows
>1.50 - big red arrows.
Max 6 best moves should be shown.
Min 3 moves should be shown.
Don't show move 4,5,6 if a yellow or red arrow has been shown.
