I forgot to add an important information for people compiling themselves.
To check if you binary is ok, please verify with

Thx Daylen, I will use the 64bit "Intel" POP for the IPON in a few minutes!daylen wrote:I just updated the Stockfish web site, and Jim's new builds are the official version.

On my Phenom II X6 in terms of the bench output:
The AMD popcnt exe is dead slow, no-one in their right mind would use that. The standard AMD exe is the fastest for me, closely followed by the Intel popcnt exe. But I'm really sceptical of the "bench" output, in the past the relative reported speeds from the Shredder GUI have been radically different.

The auto-compile is still 3% faster...IWB wrote:Thx Daylen, I will use the 64bit "Intel" POP for the IPON in a few minutes!daylen wrote:I just updated the Stockfish web site, and Jim's new builds are the official version.

Thanks the report. I think is was justified to include the AMD version as there are still quite a few Phenom owners out there who will gain a performance boost.
I'll forget about doing a AMD popcount version in future (just dig a hole for the popcount version and bury it) .
Jim.

On my Phenom II X6, the standard AMD64 exe is faster then the Intel popcnt exe.
